APPLICATION

The surface must be cleaned of dirt, dust and completely dry. Additional treatment using primers is not required. Material should be mixed thoroughly before use. Add up to 10% of water if necessary. To achieve the «light patina» effect you should add universal dyes or use computer tinting system. Apply to the prepared surface using a brush, roller, paintbrush or sponge glove in accordance with the desired effect. Wash tools with water immediately after use.

CASTELLO is an exquisite decorative coating that is specially designed for exterior and interior works. Ground natural travertine of various factions is the main filler in this product. CASTELLO takes the form of natural travertine stone after application through the use of special acrylic polymers and other auxiliary substances.
CASTELLO also includes special synthetic reinforcing fibers that give excellent characteristics to this product. You can achieve a variety of surface textures due to the special structure of this material. Produced in beige base color.

APPLICATION TECHNOLOGY

The surface before application must be solid, dry and free from dust, oil and grease. Places affected by mold and moss must be cleaned mechanically and primed with primer D 07 ELF™ or other special agents. Apply quartz-primer QuartzPrimer or quartz-primer D 17 ELF™ on the prepared surface and wait until it’s completely dry (fig. 1).

The material can be applied in one or two layers. When applied in 1 layer it is recommended to use the quartz-primer previously tinted with the selected color. The coating should be applied evenly on the surface with a thin layer and then use the “pulling” technique over the entire surface with the help of stainless steel bevel (fig. 2).

After 10-15 minutes (after stabilization of moisture) begin to smooth the material to compact, seal and level the surface with a stainless steel bevel (fig. 3).

Once the surface begins to dry up it is necessary to continue treating the surface using a plastic bevel to avoid blackening of the surface (fig. 4).

When the coating is applied in 2 layers use the same application technology as for Travertino Style (refer Travertino Style application technology), but use the plastic bevel in order to avoid blackening.You can achieve the look of a natural polished travertine stone by treating surface with the use of electro-polishing tool after the complete drying of the product (24 hours).It is recommended to use such top coats as Finitura Castello or Velatura Vintage for Castello coating (fig. 5).

It is possible to tint Castello using universal colorants as well as using a computer tinting system. Also you should tint the top coats for Castello using universal colorants Decotoner or Toscana Toner or using a computer tinting system to achieve the patina effect.

DECOR WAX is a special wax for the treatment of decorative coatings indoors. It is a mixture of special synthetic waxes in an aqueous dispersion of acrylic polymer with the addition of auxiliary refining substances.

DECOR WAX WHITE is a wax with the addition of a natural white pigment. It is used to give decorative coatings an additional effect of aging and bleaching.

APPLICATION

• Apply to a dry decorative plaster. Add the chosen dye and mix the wax thoroughly before application.
• Use a brush or a roller to apply wax on the base coat.
• Then use a paint glove or a sponge and rub the surface until the desired effect is achieved. It is recommended to treat the surface with a plastic spatula to emphasize the texture. Clean tools with water after use.

FEERIE is a modern pearl decorative coating used for interior work. An individuality and unique beauty of this material appears due to the combination of a sparkling base and round glass crystals in its composition. As well as sparkling pearl particles included in the composition of FEERIE which create a scintillation effect.

This product is highly durable and very easy to apply. Produced in WHITE SILVER and WHITE GOLD colour bases and in a TRANSPARENT base.

Combination with different decorative materials such as ILLUSION, MIRAGE, SPECIAL WAX and AZURE gives you opportunity to achieve an interesting and unusual design solutions.

APPLICATION

Apply tinted DECOR PRIMER on the surface that was previously treated with D 11 ELFâ„¢ primer (fig. 1). Tinting can be done using universal dyes manually by color chart or using a computer tinting system. Wait until it’s completely dry. Or apply the decorative base coat according to the application technology of the selected product when applying FEERIE TRANSPARENT base. The material should be stirred thoroughly.

IMPORTANT: do not use an electric mixer for stirring so as not to shatter the structure of the material.

Apply the product using a flat wide brush by making random movements and spreading it evenly over the surface (fig. 2).

Group the crystals on the surface using a dry brush, thus obtaining the desired decorative effect (fig. 3).

It is possible to get other interesting design solutions by processing the surface with plastic bevel, slightly pressing the crystals and spreading them over the surface additionally. You can tint FEERIE base as well as mix FEERIE bases of different colors together for additional decorative effects.

GROTTO decorative coating is based on natural lime. It is now used widely for decoration of interiors and facades. This material has a high vapor permeability and antifungal properties. APPLICATION

• Decorative coating should be applied exclusively to quality basis. The surface must be solid, dry, free of efflorescence, dust, dirt, oil and grease. Previously painted surfaces should be cleaned of old material and treated with sandpaper. The places affected by mold or moss should be thoroughly cleaned mechanically and treated with D-07 ELFâ„¢ primer or other special means.
• Apply QUARTZ PRIMER or D-17 ELFâ„¢ primer to the prepared surface (Fig. 1). Wait until it’s completely dry. Apply 1st layer of GROTTO with a stainless steel spatula spreading the product evenly over the entire surface by the grain size (fig. 2)
• Apply the 2nd layer of GROTTO with a brush or a stainless steel bevel and using a “stippling” method after the full drying of the first layer (fig. 3).
• It is also possible to apply material in one layer with subsequent processing with a plastic bevel to give the original pattern (RIO technique) (fig. 4).
• When the coating is almost dry glaze it with a metal spatula (fig. 5).
• Before applying the decorative layer, it is recommended to prime the surface with D-14 primer. This will facilitate the application of the topcoat and protect against the emergence of docking spots.
• As a decorative and protective layer inside the premises, it is recommended to use a variety of finishing materials: DECOR WAX, DECOR WAX TOSCANA or VINTAGE (fig. 6).
• It is also possible to apply the previously tinted GROTTO base with subsequent application of topcoats which will give an additional effect. To obtain modern coatings, you can use AZURE varnish-chameleons or SPECIAL WAX metallized waxes. VARNISH PROTECT varnishes are recommended to enhance protection.
• It is recommended to use the waterproofing D-15 ELFâ„¢ primer and VINTAGE velature siloxano for subsequent decoration and the creation of the patina when performing exterior works. It is also recommended to use the D-16 hydrophobizator or Polyfluid Someforâ„¢ to create the final water-repellent layer.

MURANO is a Venetian plaster created with the use of natural mineral fillers and acrylic binders that is suitable for interior work. This luxurious material creates the effect of polished marble. A special formula allows you to achieve saturated tones with economical dye consumption. Tinting is performed by use of universal dyes in an amount of no more than 6% of the mass of the material.

• MURANO should be applied on a perfectly prepared surface. The material should be stirred thoroughly and the selected dye should be added or a computer tinting system should be used before applying. Apply the first layer of material using a spatula or a stainless steel bevel by spreading the product over the entire surface and creating your unique pattern at the same time (fig. 2). For more expressive texture small flaws are allowed.
• Treat the surface using a sandpaper and apply the second layer of coating by making alternating strokes in different directions after the complete drying of the surface (4-6 hours) (fig. 3). You can proceed to the application of the third layer by making thin strokes in different directions and polishing the surface at the same time in approx. 2-3 hours. It is allowed to add up to 10% of water to the product when applying the 3 rd layer .
• It is recommended to treat the surface after the complete drying using DECOR WAX MURANO, DECOR WAX MURANO AQUA or DECOR WAX for a more «in-depth» pattern and higher gloss as well as to enhance the “”stucco”” effect. Decorative wax should be applied using a spatula by making multi-directional movements with a thin layer (fig. 4).

• Apply the second layer of MIRAGE using a plastic or stainless steel bevel to create an original pattern after the complete drying (4-6 hours) by passing the tool in different directions to obtain different textures and reliefs (fig. 3).
• Smooth the surface by making multi-directional movements using a stainless steel bevel after 10-15 minutes. That will reinforce the gleam and velvety effect. The resulting coating will sparkle beautifully in different directions of light after drying.

• To give a deeper picture it is recommended to treat the surface with DECOR WAX, which will further show the structure. Use DECOR WAX TOSCANA to enhance the matte effect. Wax should be applied with a thin layer using a metal by making multi-directional movements (fig. 4).

PERSIA decorative coating allows you to create a variety of types of textures in your interior because of a variety of application techniques. An unusually smart and noble appearance is created due to the combination of small particles of marble and pearlescent base of this product.

PERSIA is a water-soluble material, produced in three bases: WHITE, SILVER and GOLD. The WHITE base differs from the SILVER base with increased whiteness and ultramodern sparkling pigments in its composition.

APPLICATION

• Stir the chosen PERSIA base before starting the application. It is allowed to add up to 10% of water if necessary. Apply
• QUARTZ PRIMER or tinted DECOR PRIMER on the prepared surface (fig. 1).
• There are several application techniques of this product:
• Technique #1: Stir thoroughly previously tinted PERSIA base and apply a layer of the material on the grain size using the stainless steel spatula (fig. 2).
• Smooth the surface using a metal spatula in different directions creating unique pattern after 10-15 min. (fig. 3).
• Technique #2: Apply the first layer of the product on the grain size using a stainless steel trowel (fig. 2). Apply PERSIA on the surface with the edge of the brush (wide brush) when it is completely dry (Fig. 4)
• PERSIA can be tinted using universal tinting dyes if necessary. Stroke the surface in different directions using the stainless steel trowel and creating unique pattern after 10-15 min. (fig. 3).
• Technique #3: Apply PERSIA with a wide flat brush evenly distributing product over the entire surface (fig. 5). It is allowed to add up to 10% of water to increase easement. Create a desired pattern by grouping grains on the surface using clean and dry brush after 10 min. (fig. 6).
• Technique #4: PERSIA can be applyed using aerograph or airbrush compressor in two layers after the drying of primer (fig. 7). The first layer should be applied in a vertical direction. The second layer should be applied in a horizontal direction after drying of the first layer (4-6 hours) (fig. 8).

QUARTZ PRIMER is used for interior and exterior work before applying decorative coatings and plasters as a primer to improve adhesion. It is a mixture of pigments, fillers and various auxiliary substances in an aqueous dispersion of acrylic polymers with the addition of ground quartz grain. It is applied to plasterboard and fibre-cement slabs, concrete, brick, cement and lime-cement plasters, as well as putty surfaces.

TOSCANA is a decorative coating based on natural lime for interior and exterior use. Due to its special types of mineral fillers the coating appears with a honourable matte effect. You can achieve different textures that imitate natural materials by applying this product in different ways. As well as natural mica contained in this product gives more charm to the surface.

APPLICATION

• Apply QUARTZ PRIMER to the prepared surface (fig. 1). Wait until it’s completely dry. Apply the first layer of the material using a professional stainless spatula or bevel evenly spreading the product over the entire surface (fig. 2). In order to obtain a deeper pattern we recommend leaving characteristic sags and irregularities on the first layer. After the first layer (6-8 hours) has completely dried out, apply a second layer of material with more strongly pressing on the spatula and firming the surface at same time (fig. 3).
• Before applying the decorative layer, it is recommended to prime the surface with D-14 ELFâ„¢ primer. This will facilitate the application of the topcoat and protect against the emergence of docking spots. As a decorative and protective layer inside the premises, it is recommended to use a variety of finishing materials: use DECOR WAX TOSCANA for matt effect or use DECOR WAX or DECOR WAX MURANO for a more glossy surface).
• It is also possible to apply the previously tinted TOSCANA base with subsequent application of topcoats which will give an additional effect.
• VARNISH PROTECT varnishes are recommended to enhance protection. It is recommended to use the waterproofing D-15 ELFâ„¢ primer and VINTAGE velature siloxano for subsequent decoration and the creation of the patina when performing exterior works. It is also recommended to use the D-16 ELF â„¢ hydrophobizator or Polyfluid Someforâ„¢ to create the final water-repellent layer

APPLICATION

• Apply special primer TESORO PRIMER (fig. 1) on the prepared surface. Wait until it is completely dry (4-5 h).

To achieve the color that was previously selected from the catalog, according to the recipe, you need to add the selected colorant TESORO TONER (75 ml) to TESORO decorative coating base (2.5 l), and add metallised pigment TESORO GOLD or TESORO

• SILVER (250 mL) to obtain gold or silver shimmer respectively. Gently stir the decorative coating.
• IMPORTANT: do not use an electric mixer for stirring so as not to shatter the structure of the material.

Apply TESORO using a flat wide shortened brush crosswise downward randomly spreading the product over the entire surface (fig. 2).

• Press the pigmented flakes lightly using metallic bevel by making multi-directional or circular movements and distribute the flakes over the surface when moisture is stabilized little (after 10-15 min.) (fig. 3), thus obtaining the desired decorative effect.

APPLICATION

• Decorative coating should be applied exclusively to quality basis. The surface must be solid, dry, free of efflorescence, dust, dirt, oil and grease.
• Previously painted surfaces should be cleaned of old material and treated with sandpaper. The places affected by mold or moss should be thoroughly cleaned mechanically and treated with D-07 ELFâ„¢ primer or other special means.
• Apply QUARTZ PRIMER or D-17 ELFâ„¢ primer to the prepared surface (fig. 1). Wait until it’s completely dry. Apply 1st layer of TRAVERTINO STYLE with a stainless steel spatula spreading the product evenly over the entire surface by the grain size (fig. 2). After the first layer has completely dried (8-12 hours), apply a second layer of material in the same way.
• When the second layer dries slightly (15-20 minutes), scratch it with a narrow metal spatula, preferably in the horizontal direction, in order to imitate travertine veins (fig. 3). Glaze the surface using stainless steel spatula before the full drying (fig. 4).
• Before applying the decorative layer, it is recommended to prime the surface with D-14 ELF â„¢ primer. This will facilitate the application of the topcoat and protect against the emergence of docking spots.
• As a decorative and protective layer inside the premises, it is recommended to use a variety of finishing materials: DECOR WAX, DECOR WAX TOSCANA or VINTAGE (fig. 5, 6). It is also possible to apply the previously tinted TRAVERTINO STYLE base with subsequent application of topcoats which will give an additional effect. To obtain modern coatings, you can use AZURE varnish-chameleons or SPECIAL WAX metallized waxes. VARNISH PROTECT varnishes are recommended to enhance protection. It is recommended to use the waterproofing D-15 ELFâ„¢ primer and VINTAGE velature siloxano for subsequent decoration and the creation of the patina when performing exterior works. APPLICATION

• Apply QUARTZ PRIMER or previously tinted DECOR PRIMER on a prepared surface previously treated with D-11 Elfâ„¢ primer (fig. 1).
• VENEZIANO STYLE should be applied on a perfectly prepared surface. The material should be stirred thoroughly and the selected dye should be added or a computer tinting system should be used before applying. Apply the first layer of material using a spatula or a stainless steel bevel by spreading the product over the entire surface and creating your unique pattern at the same time (fig. 2). For more expressive texture small flaws are allowed.
• Treat the surface using a sandpaper and apply the second layer of coating by making alternating strokes in different directions after the complete drying of the surface (4-6 hours) (fig. 3).
• You can proceed to the application of the third layer by making thin strokes in different directions and polishing the surface at the same time in approx. 2-3 hours. It is allowed to add up to 10% of water to the product when applying the 3 rd layer.
• It is recommended to treat the surface after the complete drying using DECOR WAX MURANO, DECOR WAX MURANO AQUA or DECOR WAX for a more “in-depth” pattern and higher gloss as well as to enhance the “”stucco”” effect. Decorative wax should be applied using a spatula by making multi-directional movements with a thin layer (fig. 4). For perfect glossy surfaces we recommend using the polishing tool with a special header made of genuine sheepskin.
