Tamise
Tamise are special smaller Schaibin-style flakes made from high-quality imitation gold, aluminum, copper, and variegated leaf. These irregularly shaped flakes range in size from about 1/4 inch to 1 inch.

Metal Leaf Rolls
Rolls of metal leaf are manufactured from 6-1/4 inch square leaves placed on a continuous length of specially treated light-weight paper. The leaves slightly overlap each other with the overlap marks occurring at 6 inch intervals on all roll sizes. Ribbon leaf or rolls are best suited for use on flat surfaces and can be applied by hand. Ribbon metal leaf is manufactured by Nazionale in Italy and is available in 50 meter and 75 meter length rolls. The 50 meter (164 feet) master rolls cover 82 square feet and the 75 meter (246 feet) master roll covers 123 square feet without waste or overlap. Any width roll up to 152 mm can be cut from master rolls on special order. Available in color #2-1/2 (gold color) (code /G), Aluminum (code /A), Copper (code /C).
Wax used during the manufacturing process leaves a slight film on the leaf; therefore, a solvent based sealer is recommended. Shorter metal leaf rolls for making samples are also available. Large flat surfaces like walls, ceilings, bar tops, cabinets shelves, and table tops are quickly gilded with master rolls of ribbon leaf. Made from 6-1/4 inch square leaves with a slight overlap, ribbon leaf is also available in 5 meter rolls. They are the perfect size for creating sample boards for client presentations. Each 5 meter roll covers about 8 square feet providing a leafed surface for sealing and decorative finishing.

Mica Powder
Mica Powders are particles coated with titanium dioxide and/or iron oxide. They are environmentally safe, non-toxic, non-tarnishing and universal. Mica powders can be added to varnishes, shellacs, acrylics for painting and glazing. Mica powder can also be flash gilded directly on a sized surface. Mica colors can be intermixed with each other to create additional colors. The density of coverage depends on the amount of powder used. Final effect can be altered by varying the color underneath. Mica powders withstand firing temperatures up to 900 degrees Celsius (1,652 degrees Fahrenheit). All mica powders are for interior use.
